CHRISTMAS EVE

Ingredients per bottle of red wine:

  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 32 sugar cubes
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 well-filled schnapps glasses of rum

Put the cinnamon stick and sliced vanilla pod in a saucepan with the red wine and let it steep for 1 hour.

Then bring to the boil. Put the egg yolks in a punch pot and gradually whisk with some of the red wine, stirring constantly.

Add rum and sugar. Top up with the rest of the hot red wine.
