How to make a Gingerbread-house

Building a gingerbread house around Christmas time is an old and loved German tradition.

The German Semester organised an online workshop on the gingerbread house making. You can rewatch it here.

If you participate, please be equipped with the following: 1 egg (ideally 2-3 weeks before expiring), 150-200g icing sugar, bowl, whisk, piping bag (alternatively any little plastic bag) and most importantly your gingerbread house set.

Remember, you are free to personalise your own house whichever way you like, and there are no limits.

If you send a picture of your gingerbread house to, we will create a little gallery of all your creations on our German semester site/App.
