Berlin’s up-and-coming Pop-Rock Band Sector 5 is a spinoff from the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) - Europe’s largest, most connected music institute with eight colleges in the UK and Europe.
For over 35 years, BIMM has been equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the demands of the music business – and graduate feeling they are industry-ready.
Sector 5 – a BIMM baby showing professionalism and on the road to success, currently consists of two brothers Mika (Vocals/Guitar) and Sami (Drums) as well as Jules playing bass.
Since all members are active songwriters, different styles and genres are mixed, creating a harmonic blend of Rock, Melancholy Pop and even Hip-Hop or Funk.

Like for most of us, 2020 has been a momentous year. Despite all challenges and hardships, the trio was able to make the most of the circumstances.
Hosting weekly balcony concerts, they succeeded in bringing joy to their Berlin neighbours, gaining new fans and loyal supporters along the way.
Using this fresh basis, it was time for some new music!
On November 3rd the new single ‘Going the Right Way’ was released.
The song is an epitome of what it means to grow up and illustrates how frightening the uncertainty of one’s own future can actually be.

The band is optimistic and has plans. From 2021, the single will be followed by an extended play featuring more brand-new songs.
