Position & Weblink

At the largest German Island - Rügen - the natives in the past crowned that guy to king, who could climb the 118 m of the striking chalk cliff from seaside.

Today it is part of the World Heritage with the unique beech forest of Stubnitz. Visitors reach the Island, passing Germanys biggest cable-stayed bridge. The ancient Hanseatic city of Stralsund is the “gate” to Rügen as well to the smaller but very attractive Hiddensee – free of car traffic, the ideal place to slow down and to relax.

Tourists love the zone for the multiple possibilities of active holidays or just to chill. To range the woods, to relax at the beach, to visit the Stoertebeker-Festival, at the unique open-air & sea-stage of Ralswiek (amongst  the largest in Europe), visit the “Ozeaneum” or inspecting a submarine – many occasions to spend a day before tasting one of the numerous fresh fish meals.
